Checking up on Sierra Votaw...
She's played in 14 games for Eastern Florida State College averaging 12.7 ppg, 6.8 rpg, with a 45.4% FG%. She's shooting 79.6% from the FT line. I'm sure that she'll get more D-1 offers in the next year or two. Kenny Brooks did her a favor by redshirting her and having her go the junior college route for a year or two to improve her skills get playing time. I think it'll pay off for her. She wasn't going to get much game experience during her first 1-2 years at Tech. IMHO, I think there are a lot of college basketball players (male and female) who would benefit going to junior college for a year or two instead of sitting on the bench for 2 years and never getting real game experience. I think it makes you appreciate the D-1 level more when you get there and it gives you more confidence. Buzz Williams believes it.
